The Hutt Central School fundraising committee is a relaxed group of around 10 parents who get together once a month (Mondays 7.30 at The Parrot and Jigger) to try hard to raise a few extra dollars so all those kids at Hutt Central can benefit from a few extras without their parents having to fund everything.
Last year we raised over $15,000 from the following events:
From money raised over the past few years the children gained classroom digital cameras, outdoor picnic tables, 40 new sports team tracksuits, fully-funded, whole-school swimming programme including bus costs, pool entry and qualified swimming instructors. Plus new Listening Posts and a fully-funded drumming concert. We also assisted with the purchase of the new shade sails.
This year we will be running a quiz night and ice cream day, movie night, selling chocolates and entertainment books, plus will be looking for assistance with 2 stock takes during the year. Interested in helping out ?
