Welcome to Hutt Central School

I'm Martyn Dowman and have been the Principal at Hutt Central since the start of term three. I have been involved in education for thirty years as a teacher, deputy principal and principal in the Horowhenua region.

The welcome I have received from the community demonstrated the friendliness, family feeling and wonderful multi culture of the school. To be welcomed at a powhiri by children in eighteen different languages was a memorable event. One that will remain with me.

Hutt Central is a well resourced school with an inclusive culture and friendly staff and students. Families wishing to find out more about the school are welcome to visit.
