A message from the Principal
While the school year has started very well for Hutt Central our thoughts are with the schools and people of Christchurch in their hour of need.
As a school we have had a number of events take place to raise money to make donations to the earthquake fund which we will deposit in the Canterbury Earthquake Schools Relief Fund. They included a bring and buy, school disco and a red and black donation day. A big thank for all your support.
It is always good to see the school using local resources and facilities. Already this year we have had classes visit the Wellington Zoo, Matiu/Somes Island, Te Papa and the Hutt Library. The evidence of the worth of these trips is obvious in the work the children are doing in their rooms.
The children have been busily setting their goals for the goal setting interviews. This is an important part in the process of children being able to review their own progress.
