We have a busy year of sport ahead of us. Mrs James has some great sporting events organised for this year. Photos and results will be updated as they happen.

Middle Miniball Finals Term 2

The middles miniball finals are on Monday the 28th June at Randwick School. Hutt Central Lighnting Bolts are playing in the B grade final against Randwick. Hutt Central Stingers are playing for 3rd/4th playoffs in the A grade finals. Good luck to both teams.

Hutt Central School Cross Country: The school cross country was Wednesday 12th May at Sladden Park. The first race started at 10am. The results will be up tomorrow but well done to all who participated. Thanks to all the parents and teacher helpers. The Southern Zone cross country event is Tuesday 25th May at Sladden Park.

Asthma Awareness Week:

Balloon Day is the Asthma Foundation's annual fundraising campaign. Balloon Day was Friday 7 May this year. We had a great day of fun activities and raised $270. We guessed how many balloons fit in Mrs James’s car. Jade guessed correctly that there were 68 balloons and won the prize. We had balloon races at lunchtime and made posters to advertise asthma awareness. The winners of poster competition were Beth Room 13, Arie Room 13, Zac Room 10, Hannah Room 10, Maya Room 4 and Aroha Room 4.

Miniball: The first game is Monday 3rd May at Randwich School. STINGERS - 5pm and LIGHTNING BOLTS - 5.30pm. Make sure you get your uniform from Miss Leach on Monday.

Flippa Ball:

Training...week 2: Thursday 12.30pm at Huia pool.

Training...week 3: Monday 12.30pm in the Hall & Thursday 5 - 5.40pm at Huia pool.

Training...week 4: Monday 12.30pm in the Hall & Thursday 12.30pm at Huia pool.

Rippa Rugby Term 2, Week 10: Tuesday 22nd June at Petone Rec.

Thanks for signing up...see notices for trials and practice times. Mrs James is taking the Year 3 & 4 teams and Mr Turnbull is taking the Year 5 & 6 teams.

Rippa Rugby Term 1: Well done for winning your pool at the tournament at Petone Rec on Monday 22nd February.

Hutt Central Striders Running Club has been a great success with over 40 students registered to run. During Term 2 we are meeting on Wednesday's 7.30 - 8.15am and Thursday's 3.15-4pm in Room 10. Its never too late to join. You need to bring a towel, drink bottle, shoes, shorts, singlet/top and wet weather running gear if its wet.

Inter-Zone Southern Zone Swimming Champs - Well done to Ridge Studd who placed 3rd in the 25m Freestyle and 50m Freestyle. Lot of students represented the Southern Zone from Hutt Central School. Well done to all raced!

Miniball - Term 2 Week 4

Well done to both Middles Miniball teams who played their first game of the season last week.

The draw for Monday the 10th of May is as follows:

Hutt Central Stingers vs EH Rockets at 7pm.

Hutt Central Lightening Bolts vs DS Blaze at 6.30pm.

Make sure you are at the Randwick School hall 15 minutes before your game with your uniform. Miss Leach will give these out to you on Monday lunchtime at Miniball practise.
