Matt Durney

Matt is born and bred in the Hutt Valley and now lives with his wife and 2 children in Petone.
He is a Chartered Accountant and brings to the Board of Trustees he knowledge and experience in management, financial discipline and governance. He would like to see the school  continue to get the best outcomes for the children with the resources available to the school.

Carla Wellington

Carla is a public servant, working for Treasury to manage the appointments of boards of directors to Crown entities. She offers the board knowledge in law, regulatory compliance, recruitment and understands governance frameworks.
Carla lives locally with her husband Bill and their two children attend Hutt Central School. 

Danny Hughes

Danny is a Petone resident, a business owner and a father of two with his eldest at Hutt Central School.
His own experiences have given him a keen interest in how the school is run and how the children are taught. 
Danny's experience in the construction industry and as the owner of a medium sized  commercial construction business will be valuable as the school carries out ongoing classroom updates  and with his management and financial skills.

Renee Fauvel

​Renee works for Education Services we provide accounting services for schools in the greater Wellington area. She offers the board knowledge of financial reporting, and governance. 
She lives in the Lower Hutt area with her two children. 
Being on the board has given her a greater understanding of what resources the schools needs to be able to help and support students with there learning. 
Hutt Central School strives to give all students equal opportunities.
