Our School Emergency Plan:This emergency plan focuses on emergencies where school staff need to take immediate, self directed actions such as fire, earthquake and lockdown. During or prior to the onset of other types of emergency, officials such as Police, Civil Defence, the Ministry of Education, or the Met Service will provide official guidance and advice.
Evacuation Information:If an earthquake is long and strong, and the decision is made to evacuate the school, we will move with students to Jubilee Park (Normandale). We will walk out of the front gate to Railway Ave walk east, turn onto Herbert St, walk north then onto Bridge St and over the Normandale Bridge to Miromiro Road, turn right onto Normandale Road and walk up to Jubilee Park.
Note: If the Bridge is out of order, we will walk north along Pharazyn St to the stop bank and keep walking north towards Avalon Park. |
